Black Vulture Feeding Camp – Vimioso
During our experience in Vimioso, we participated in the cleaning and maintenance of a black vulture feeding area, removing old bones and replacing them with fresh meat. It was a hands-on and enriching activity that allowed us to contribute directly to the protection of biodiversity and the conservation of this species.
Visiting Vultures home
As our time in Portugal pass we had one of our best experiences. We were introducted to a feeding area for many species of vultures where we had the chance to saw them fliying above our head. Vultures are endemic of the Portugal intern area but almost disappared in the last century due to hunting and lack of food. Now Palombar are working for the reintroduction of many of these birds.

Il progetto è stato un viaggio nel cuore del Biodistretto del Lago di Bolsena, dove natura e agricoltura convivono da secoli. Abbiamo accolto ragazze e ragazzi sul campo, tra le nostre piccole aziende dell’Alta Tuscia, per scoprire l’agroforestry e l’agroecologia come chiavi per affrontare il clima che cambia e coltivare, insieme, un futuro più sostenibile.
