You can see the heartbeat of a Trás‑os‑Montes village coming together to celebrate. Young people, local organizations, and residents weave their gestures and intentions into one. Every helping hand, every shared smile, every small detail reveals a bright spark of the future.

The celebration is born from encounters: from a culture that reinvents itself, from heritage that is honored, from an environment that is cared for. It is a festivity woven from many voices, where the entire community becomes both author and guardian of the moment. In the image, you can feel that nothing happens alone. It is unity that sparks joy, and the collective that shapes what blossoms.

We visited the Iberian Wolf School in Vimioso, where we were able to observe this painted wall that symbolizes the strong connection between the Iberian wolf, the local community, and the surrounding nature.

During our experience in Vimioso, we participated in the cleaning and maintenance of a black vulture feeding area, removing old bones and replacing them with fresh meat. It was a hands-on and enriching activity that allowed us to contribute directly to the protection of biodiversity and the conservation of this species.

Il penultimo giorno in Portogallo noi volontari insieme a persone che si occupano di questo ogni anno abbiamo allestito tutto il paese di Uva con bandierine, tavoli e sedie, abbiamo cucinato e ci siamo divertiti molto per preparare il posto alla Festa Dos Pombais.

In questa immagine stavamo discutendo delle Palumbar (colombaia) queste casine che erano sparse per tutto il paesaggio di Uva, dove vengono allevati i piccioni.

As our time in Portugal pass we had one of our best experiences. We were introducted to a feeding area for many species of vultures where we had the chance to saw them fliying above our head. Vultures are endemic of the Portugal intern area but almost disappared in the last century due to hunting and lack of food. Now Palombar are working for the reintroduction of many of these birds.

We lived inside a rural area of Portugal one of our best experiences. We visited very ancient buildings called “pombal” where hundreds of pigeons are still living.

night sky is “the most peaceful, rejuvenating place to be. It’s a perfect contemplative
space. It’s spiritual.”
Nature exists under the stars, and it’s a whole half of our world that we discount
sometimes. Astrophotography is a way to reconnect people and community to our
nighttime world, to inspire people to protect the night.”

Durante la nostra permanenza ad Acquapendente, nella seconda settimana del nostro erasmus, siamo arrivati al porto di Capodimonte per prendere una barca che ci avrebbe portato prima a visitare le due isole del lago di Bolsena, con successiva sosta e bagno, e poi a raccogliere del pancton. Con i campioni presi ci siamo poi spostati al laboratorio Folzio, nel paese di Marta, dove li abbiamo osservati al microscopio, dopo una lezione introduttiva agli ecosistemi.

Il progetto è stato un viaggio nel cuore del Biodistretto del Lago di Bolsena, dove natura e agricoltura convivono da secoli. Abbiamo accolto ragazze e ragazzi sul campo, tra le nostre piccole aziende dell’Alta Tuscia, per scoprire l’agroforestry e l’agroecologia come chiavi per affrontare il clima che cambia e coltivare, insieme, un futuro più sostenibile.

Oggi mi sono incantato di fronte a una pianta che cresce nella mia terra. Si chiama “Cappello del Prete”, per via dei suoi fiori porpora a forma di cappello cardinalizio. Ho notato sotto la pianta alcuni funghi, che la app ha riconosciuto subito come appartenenti alla famiglia del fungo “Fallus Impudicus”. Il Fallus Impudicus ha la caratteristica di emanare un odore di morto, per attirare le mosche impollinatrici.
Oddio quanti morti sotto questo Cappello del Prete!!
